Many congratulations Netroller - I still can't get my VHD to boot, so I'll hold off now in the hopes you come up with a clean installable .iso.

Really looking forward to playing with 6956 !!

Fix BCD for New Boot Screen

Test Work!

Tip :

Mount .Vhd With Winmount and Ghost VHD to Image .GHO

recovery .GHO to Your HDD and Extract BCD-Fix.RAR to C:\Boot

;)

ps. RUN after all finish C:\Windows\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe (OOBE / Generalize / Shutdown)

Attached File(s)

Thanks, Netroller :)
Though I did notice the first imagex command (which is running now) only worked with /compress none instead of /compress=none .
In case this happens to other people.

Quote

imagex /norpfix /compress=none /capture E: C:\temp.wim "win7temp"

this must be:

imagex /norpfix /compress none /capture E: C:\temp.wim "win7temp"

without the =

otherwise it won't work!!

EDIT: lol Edootjuh was faster! :P

Lol, thanks, I was wondering why the heck I couldn't get it to run, thought I had an old version of Ximage (Imagex) and was looking like mad all over the net for another :P

So anybody figure out a way to get this in iso format if you have the build installed?

I now have an ISO ready!

I only need to find someone to upload it - my upstream is cr@p, ~45kB/s and I can't leave it on 24/7.

Upload it to Skydrive and I'll turn it into a torrent from there.

It worked with your instructions! ;) You are our hero!
Im sure you will find someone to upload it... my upload is like 30kb/s so ...
I think enabled the storage controler drivers in the registry were the missing part!!!
Or maybe someone with a better upload will be able to create an iso with your instructions.

On my notebook I had to enabled MSISCSI ... so people look at the storage controller driver thats used in your 6801 and enable it!

Hi, when I use this command:

imagex /norpfix /compress=none /capture E: C:\temp.wim "win7temp"

It does not do anything at all, and I am running as administrator. Must be some problem with the flags? It just shows ImageX [flags] /operation [parameter list] and teaches me the list of commands

I can't get the VHD installation to work :(

I've followed all the instructions, but I'm getting an error in CMD, at the "bcdedit /set {4d2d1300-ab4c-11dd-bac1-af9f458ee35} J:\Windows\System32\winload.exe" bit
can somebody please help me?
