I found some time to merge Stanimir and I's code into the main trunk along with some other highly requested bug fixes. Now we can move on and tackle the Windows Vista games.

Like I mentioned before, we have validated the games work with Alky for Applications. The problem we are working on, however, is that they refuse to run properly on Windows XP (which makes no sense, I know). Rest assured, I recently got back in touch with a childhood friend who is as extremely passionate about reverse engineering as I am.

Changelog:

Quote

KERNEL32
- memory corruption-related bug fixes
- GetVersionA API now returns Windows Vista version numbers

COMCTL32
- XTaskDialog 1.06 implemented (http://www.naughter.com/xtaskdialog.html)
This resolves crashing found in applications such as Solitaire and mspaint.
This also enables proper uninstallation of Windows Sidebar gadgets.

MSVCRT
- Various bug fixes

INSTALLER
- Fixed NLSAPI installation bug on 64-bit platforms.
- Fixed NLSAPI uninstallation bug
- Added Sidebar post-KB943411 hack to installer

MISC
- Additional API added for future Windows 7 work
- New versioning text on all libraries (e.g. alky_1.1_trunk_032308-000051)

Grab the build (or whatever else you may need) from http://fromvistatoxp.com/

Well your antivirus is bad then since Alky for Applications is not a trojan

Can you tell me exactly what anti-virus you are using, what version, and what definition files you are using (e.g. date or definition number)? Where did you download the files?

Hi Guys. I have been looking for Alky for Applications for some time and when I use a link to it or Falling Leaf I get a Trojan Downloader alert from my anti virus. I have used Alky before but do not have it on this system. Can you help me with a link to it without the Trojans? I use Charter Communications With F-Secure Security Suite. I would like to use the Sidebar and the Gadgets because it is by far the best. Please Help if you can? Thanks...

I need the following information from anyone that finds a false positive:

* Product name
* Product version
* Operating system
* Definition version

I can assure you the build on http://www.fromvistatoxp.com is without trojans.

Hi, I posted just above before I noticed the link for the new build. About the detection of viruses, I found no Trojans nor any type of malware, scanned it twice after scan at download. Unless my security suite is flawed, there was none detected. Please read above post and tell me, if there are remains of the previous build present from past files etc. using Alky for Applications, will the new build have a conflict? Thanks and I really appreciate all your work and your passions for Reverse Engineering!

You cannot install this new version of Alky on top of the old one. You need to uninstall. See the documentation :)
