Just a note….as of today (8/18/09) Expression Studio 3 is now available on DreamSpark.

Waiting for the software to drop! I took advantage of the free MTS exam back in May and this program has helped me a lot since. It’s free so I think I can wait a moth or two

Now Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit since that’s the only edition it is released in) is also due on DreamSpark. DreamSpark users who always got 32-bit Windows Server 2003 Standard and then 2008 Standard will be glad to get Hyper-V. Alas, no word from any of the Microsoft teams when they announced all the other dates (OEMs, MSDN, TechNet, Partners) as to when it’ll arrive on DreamSpark. Also due is Robotics Developer Studio 2008 R2 and CCR and DSS Toolkit 2008 R2. And that students will benefit immensely from Windows 7 instead of a server OS is an entirely different matter.

You could also download the trial version. It lasts for 60 days, which is plenty of time before Dreamspark releases it.
