People who use a multi-monitor taskbar (e.g. Ultramon) have a very good reason not to like the new taskbar.

Oh yes, I know he does great quality audio and video. That is one of the big reasons why I like this site so much. Also, point taken on the putting out things all at once thought. That makes sense.

forget the fact they take a while to render because he does do awesome quality videos (audio and vid) if he did put them all of his PDC content out at one time you (and i know myself) would digest it all back to back and be done with it in the better part of a day and then we would go back to waiting for the beta build.

This taskbar is so ridiculously easy to learn that I can understand the reluctance behind the decision to add a “classic taskbar” function.

Going from Win 3.1 to Win95 didn’t cause me any trouble so a slight taskbar change shouldn’t bother anyone’s habits too much.

Whatever happened to give users choice and making everything optional? For those that don’t like the new taskbar or aren’t accustomed to it (I welcome it though), why not a simple “Classic taskbar” option. After all the taskbar’s been there from Windows 95 and it is hard for people to change their computing habits.

Whatever happened to give users choice and options in Windows 7? For those who don’t like the new taskbar (I certainly welcome it), fallback to “Classic taskbar”. I hope they do it by RTM.
